Book Suggestions Please!

I didn't make many new year's resolutions this year, but one that I really want to stick to (and have so far) is to make sure I read every day. No limit on how many pages I read, or how long I spend doing it, as long as I pick up a book/kindle and read something.

So I'd really appreciate some suggestions.

What book or books have you read recently that I really must check out?

And before I'm accused of asking for something for nothing, here are a few that I've enjoyed:
Paper Towns (John Green)
The Most Beautiful Thing (Fiona Robyn)
The Killing (David Hewson)
... and I've just started The Life of Pi (Yann Martel)

  1. I commented on this and it is no longer here! How annoying. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and The One Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out Of The Window And Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson are both fantastic! Love Tami xX

    1. Thanks for the recommendations Tami, I haven't heard of the first one but I'm told my mum has it and I think Sarah's got the second one, so huzzah!

  2. That's a really good New Year's resolution. These aren't necessarily ones I've read very recently (I seem to be going through a phase of finding not so great books right now), but within the past several months that I've enjoyed:

Miss Me When I'm Gone by Emily Arsenault
    Sister by Rosamund Lupton
The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley (it's the first in a series, so there's more if you like it)
Any Joshilyn Jackson book. Her latest is A Grown Up Kind of Pretty, but all of her books are excellent.
Pretty much anything by Scott Turow.

Are you on goodreads? I've found quite a few books I really enjoyed that way.

If you read The Help, as the commenter above suggested, I really hope you will review it. I've read it, but I'm still trying to find someone who agrees with me about it. :-)

  3. Holy crapsicles you should all go read The Life of Pi immediately. I'm worried that if I say any more I'll give things away, so just go!
